Lighting Up the Game at Bunbury Golf Club
New LED lighting transforms the outdoor driving range for night-time play and improved member access

Club Background & Challenge
Bunbury Golf Club is a premier golfing destination located along the scenic coast of Western Australia. Renowned for its championship-level course, picturesque surroundings, and vibrant member community, the club also features a well-equipped outdoor driving range that supports year-round practice, player development, and coaching programs for golfers of all ages and skill levels.
Despite its strong reputation and high-quality facilities, the driving range faced a major limitation—lack of adequate lighting. Once the sun set, members and guests could no longer access the facility, restricting practice hours and limiting the club’s ability to offer evening coaching sessions, social events, or extended services. The absence of lighting also affected operational flexibility, community engagement, and revenue-generating opportunities, especially during shorter daylight months.
To address these challenges and unlock the facility’s full potential, the club sought a trusted lighting partner to design and implement a high-quality, energy-efficient system tailored for outdoor sports environments and the needs of modern golf facilities.
Solution & Implementation
Jasstech was engaged to design and deliver a complete LED lighting upgrade for the Bunbury Golf Club’s driving range. Drawing on our extensive experience in sports lighting solutions, we provided a system tailored to the specific performance, safety, and energy requirements of the facility.
Our team installed advanced LED luminaires engineered to deliver high illumination levels with excellent uniformity across the entire hitting area. The lighting was carefully positioned to reduce glare and light spill, ensuring an optimal visual environment for golfers while maintaining compliance with Australian standards.
The new system allows the driving range to operate effectively after dark, enabling extended member access, evening programs, and enhanced use of club amenities. With its energy-efficient performance and minimal maintenance needs, the upgrade also supports the club’s long-term sustainability and operational goals—all delivered with minimal disruption to daily operations.
