The club contacted Jasstech in August 2021 to assist with the upgrade of lighting at their complex. The existing installation was continually failing lux audits and, as a result, the club wasn’t allowed to play fixtures at night. This in-turn was affecting the club’s cash flow, as night games significantly contributed to income (via bar, canteen etc).
The cost of continuing with the existing lights just didn’t make financial sense.
As with most clubs, Pine Central relied on grants to finance infrastructure and asset upgrades. Jasstech worked closely with the club to develop the business case and, ensure their funding application was successful.
As with all designs undertaken by Jasstech we ensured strict adherence to the requirements as specified by AS2560.2 for Sports lighting and, AS 4282 for Spill Light to neighbours.
Timing the installation was critical. It had to be completed in the off-season, which unfortunately coincided with the wet season. Special care was taken to avoid damaging the fields in the wet conditions.
Yet again, Jasstech delivered the desired outcome for the club – more night games, and enhanced cashflow.
